Today is the official release for Firefox 3. The folks at Mozilla are hoping to set a World record for having the most downloads of a piece of software in a 24 hour period.
Downloaded the new Firefox first thing this morning. I had resisted the urge to try out the beta and wait till today. I was a little nervous, I don’t like change, and was worried a lot of my addons would no longer work.
Been using it a few hours now, and I am really liking it. Lost one of my main addons, Colorzilla, but hopefully there will be something new to replace it soon.
There are tons of great new features in FF3, one of the main ones is the speed. You will noticed a big difference in the speed of your browsing once you upgrade.
So what are you waiting for..hop to it and download it now, join over 2million other users who have downloaded it already today!

We’ve been using firefox for years now–after all on a mac, that’s our choice or Safari (which is way worse than IE).

I am also currently running FF3 and I also like it a lot. Importing my bookmarks was relatively easy, but somewhat confusing since I was importing my addons from Flock. The only main addon I lost was my live pagerank addon which displays the current Google PR for whatever site and now I’m just trying to break the addiction I have because I am always looking to see what a site’s PR is.

I tried out flock, all be it briefly, but couldn’t get into it. Too stuck in my FF ways.
Ditch that PR addiction and be free! I haven’t looked in months, I don’t know what my sites are at (pretty sure at least one is still slapped) but they rank well just the same.
I must get it. I haven’t yet, and am therefore remiss. I shall get it tonight. FF3 I mean, geeez……
I didn’t get it on that day! but I’ll probably go get it now. Usually I get upgrades right away, but when I tried beta most of my addons didn’t work and I need them!
