How did you sleep last night?
I am a bit of an iPhone app junkie, often checking the app store for something new and fun to play with.
The latest is Sleep Cycle. I had seen it in there before, but never paid much attention as I thought it was just an alarm. But when I saw the added bonus of analysing your sleep pattern I had to have a go. I LOVES me some stats and graphs!
So basically it is a bio alarm clock that analyses your sleep patterns and wakes you when you are in the lightest sleep phase. Haven’t had a chance to test out the alarm yet, because I have woken up both mornings before the alarm. But the stats are cool!
You stick your phone under your sheet near your pillow and measures your movements during the night to graph your stages of sleep.
I always thought I was a pretty heavy sleeper, get into bed and I am out pretty quickly and didn’t wake till morning. But it seems not. Clearly I didn’t sleep too well last night and may explain why I was ready for a nap before lunch.
Will be interesting to see the graph over a few more nights. It’s also going to be handy to prove to manpets dr that despite his screwed up ENT he does not have sleep apnea, I don’t think he believe me.

















the only things stopping me from using this are
1. the lack of power supply that reaches my side of the bed
2. i can’t listen to podcasts while the app’s on. BOO!

Guess you have to wait for the multitasking update
now that sounds interesting – I’m going to have to get that one and see how well I sleep cos I think that I’m not sleeping brilliantly lately – too many headaches.
