- without my pants
Do remember the great aussie kids TV series, Round the twist? I loved that show as a kid..and Paul Jennings. One of the best episodes was Without my pants.
I am such a cruel mother, but I told him I would do it..and I can’t go back on my word now can I :P. Sorry Hayden, I will start saving for your therapy *hehe*
Someone has been walking past our house, without their pants! Monday, mysteriously, a pair of men’s underpants turned up. They certainly weren’t ours. It caused great discussion amongst the children…’cause strange undies are so exciting dontcha know!I didn’t really want to be touching them…cause you know where they have been *eww* Hayden wanted to use the tongs to pick them up and put them in the bin :O. I just hoped they would some how move a long to visit someone else (no, not interested in starting a travelling undies movement)
Tuesday morning, getting breakfast ready and there is a car accident right outside. Regular occurrence here, usually a couple a month, especially at that time of morning. It was nothing major, everyone was OK, but the cars were fairly damaged. Turned out it was a teacher from the kids school (Hayden’s teacher from last year), who ran into another teacher from school.
So they were milling about outside, then more teachers on their way to school were coming past and stopping. We ended with about 4-5 teachers out the front….near the undies.
Hayden was mortified and flipping out. “O-M-G, they are standing near the undies…OMG SOMEONE LOOKED AT THEM..they are going to think they are ours.. they are going to think we are weirdos with undies in our front yard” I thought he was going to hyperventilate, I was trying very hard not to laugh at him. I said loudly (they would not have heard) “Hayden, how many times do I need to tell you not to leave your undies in the front yard” LMAO Poor boy, he wanted to rush out to tell them they weren’t his undies..”they are a men’s medium, they wouldn’t fit me” ( I don’t think I want to know how he knew what size they were).
Just to milk the fun a little more (the girls were in fits of laughter) I told him I was going to take a picture, blog it and tell EVERYONE they are really his undies. Sorry, Mummy really does love you mate

- 52 things I ♥- week 7– also posted in General
No, I do not ♥ getting rid of my wittle baby, off to big school. It has been 2 weeks since she started, she is loving it..and I am just starting to get used to it. I knew I would be a little upset, I had been dreading it in the lead up. I was a little surprised how badly I took it tho, I am not usually an emotional person, but I cried for like 10mins after we dropped her off. I told Jake it was like taking a furry child to be put down..you know they are going to a better place, but it still hurts a lot! I am sure he thought I had fully lost it.It’s like losing your best friend..we have hung out together for years by ourselves, now who am I going to play with
I talk to myself too much as it is, is there some sort of limit on that before you are considered a full nut job? What I ♥ this week is edumacation. I think we are pretty lucky in Australia.
While yes, I am sure it could be better, it could also be much worse. I think we have a fairly good education system. I feel very lucky that we live in a country where my children, especially my girls can get as much education as they wish. They can be what ever they want (as long as they snap out of the current..I want to be a princess or I want to be a mummy just like you *blink* No..you don’t!)
I would like to look into some further education for myself this year..no idea what though. 28 (I think..am I?) and I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Maybe I could be a princess too?

- Double Prams– also posted in Calais-Chocolate, Feline Family
We are no strangers to double prams, we had a huge limo for years when the kids were little. Why is it so bloody hard to find a double dolls pram?
Katelyn has had a pram since she could walk, and Calais has always loved jumping in and going for a ride as soon as she started playing with it. The old one has seen better days, and was a bit too small now.
I had been searching around for a few months for a new pram for Katelyn that had enough room for a Baby and a cat that didn’t cost as much as proper pram. I nearly had to buy a god awful ugly coloured one on eBay, but managed to find something suitable a few days before Christmas.
Katelyn and Calais were very pleased with their present.
He first hopped in, and thought the whole thing was for him, even a seatbelt to hold me in when she runs into the walls.
Till she shoved him over to fit one of her babies in. He was a little put out by this at first..
He soon settled in with his new friend..try to touch the baby now and you will cop a much LOL

- Katoomba-ba
Yesterday we took the kids for a drive to Katoomba to see the three sisters.
The night before we were discussing it over dinner. Katelyn thought we said we were going to Katoomba-ba, so that is what they all started calling it.
Jake had a minor
hissyaltercation with a pair of Asian tourists who were taking pictures/videoing the girls. They said they liked their blonde hair and blue eyes (I don’t even think they are blue) He told them to “take pictures of the fuckin rocks, not my kids” and I pretended now to be know them. The girls were a little unimpressed, Emily thought we were going to visit my sisters ( I only have one, and she lives 2mins up the road *roll*)
